For many social entrepreneurs, gaining access to viable financing is a challenging process. Siemens Stiftung and its partners embarked on a mission to understand the mismatch better while bringing attention to game-changing ideas and potential solutions. This report is part of a longer thought process journey that started in 2019 with a Roundtable in Cairo, a report on “Innovative Financing for Social Entrepreneurs”, a survey with social entrepreneurs and impact investors and a session at the Sankalp Africa Forum in Kenya at the beginning of this year.
